​Pottery & Clay

We have a kiln.  
We just don't have time to become proficient at clay.  
Looking for instructors for hand building.
Looking for someone that will build the awareness of our studio's ability to conduct 'firings'.

Water is not available YET for pottery wheels.  But my desire is to provide this in our near future.

• Come nurture your creative soul.  (I know, the list I moved here, is looking messy.  I'll edit later.)
• Classes, Workshops, & 7Brushes Paint (or Craft) & Sip Parties held.
• Featured Monthly Art gallery shows, in conjunction with the Friday for the Arts!   http://www.fridayforthearts.net/ ... So, if you are an artist, of any sort, please contact OTS7 to consider exhibiting.  Acoustic Musicians, Poetry & Literature Readings, and similar are also welcome each 2nd Friday.  This is a play for tips, or for experience, etc.  
• Handmade Arts & Crafts Sold on Commission in the Artisan Gift Shop. At this time, we have limited the times the shop is open and the space available.  We are presently working towards building the experience portion, and the community's awareness, that OTS7 provides.
• Experience creative opportunities, such as Paint & Sips, and more.  The venue itself is beautiful and we have strived to make it fun and contemporary.
• LOOKING FOR INSTRUCTORS who want to use OTS7 as a venue to teach their specialty, or groups that want to host an event.  We have the most affordable rates, I can almost guarantee it!  Really, what this means, is that I'm not wanting to "hire" instructors, but want to recoup the operating costs.  I envision that the studio will be used by others, so that the community profits, by having a variety of classes to be offered.  I also want to point out, that paint party professionals can come in and use a time slot to offer paint and sips, so that it's not just me (Denise) instructing.
• Birthday Parties, Showers, Team Building... we have the venue!  ​

We are always looking for more creative outlets for you to find an event you will enjoy.  Macrame, wood, beads, metal, tie-dye, rock painting.  etc. etc.

My name is Denise S. Tipton and I'd like to tell you a little about me & OTS7.  One of the reasons I picked 7 as part of my business name, is because I was blessed to have 7 children.  The name is significant biblically, because it is a number of completion, perfection, and peace.  Thus, OTS7!  I used the location of Old Towne in my name, because it is a beautiful part of a historical city that I am fond of.  And my husband encouraged me to use the location because it marks the beginning of this endeavor.

I want to love this community. I want to encourage the part of each of us, that's creative, that's usually suppressed in the busyness of our lives. I want to grow as an artist myself. I am learning and growing and I welcome any feedback in order to be useful and worthy of your attention.
